PAX Australia is getting ever-closer, taking to Melbourne from July 19-21 - and the confirmed guests are starting to come out of the woodwork. Today's big announcement: BioWare is making the long flight from Canada, with a team of developers set to appear at the event.
BioWare has been part of both PAX Prime and PAX East for years, and we are thrilled to now be able to come to Australia and meet our fans there.
...and rather than just sending one or two studio representatives, Australia's getting four BioWare employees for the weekend: Senior Writer Patrick Weekes, Producer Cameron Lee, Lead Editor Karin Weekes and Community Event planner "Evil" Chris Priestly. All four are appearing on a Friday afternoon panel - the first-ever-in-Australia "BioWare Goes Down Under", held Friday July 19th from 4:30-5:30 in the Dropbear Theatre.
We're still finalizing other activities for our visit and want to hear from local Melbournians... Melburnians... Melbournites... BioWare fans about where we should go and what we should see. We want to see the sights and meet our fans during our stay, so any suggestions for gatherings, parties or ways we can talk with you are very welcome! Email us your ideas to email@example.com or contact me through Twitter at @BioEvilChris and visit the BioWare Facebook Page for updates on our Australian trip.
From early reports, Priestly at least is looking forward to seeing "mad blokes" and "ace sheilas" for a "fair dinkum chin wag" - and he promises to never ever say that again.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
