Each week, gamers around the world log onto digital distribution platform Steam, to get their latest gaming fix, and every week, Player Attack lets you know which games were the most popular.
Again, the Steam crowd proves to be a fickle bunch, with the #1 game getting there based on a ridiculous 66% off sale. We're not saying that Borderlands 2 is not a good game, just that it had a little help on its way to the top this week.
Metro: Last Light on the other hand, got to the #2 spot based almost totally on gamer anticipations. Congratulations also to indie title Reus (currently 10% off) and the darling Don't Starve, still lurking in the bottom half of the top ten after more weeks than most expected.
#1 - Borderlands 2
A new era of shoot and loot is about to begin. Play as one of four new vault hunters facing off against a massive new world of creatures, psychos and the evil mastermind, Handsome Jack. Make new friends, arm them with a bazillion weapons and fight alongside them in 4 player co-op on a relentless quest for revenge and redemption across the undiscovered and unpredictable living planet.
#2 - Metro: Last Light
#3 - XCOM: Enemy Unknown
#4 - Borderlands 2 - Psycho Pack
#5 - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
#6 - Total War: ROME II
#7 - Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Uprising
#8 - Reus
#9 - Call of Duty: Black Ops II
#10 - Don't Starve
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
