SimCity’s first paid DLC promises to be “amusing”

EA and Maxis are picking up the pieces after details of the first piece of paid DLC for SimCity slipped out to eager fans. The new Theme Park-themed pack wasn't meant to be revealed to fans just yet, but - alas - we've got the new screens to show off.

The SimCity Facebook Page has been updated with an odd explanation:

Some of you may have seen thrilling new SimCity content that arrived too early at the gate. It’s coming May 28th. We think you’ll be amused.

Amid claims that the entire game had arrived too early at the gate, other gamers looked closely at the apparently-leaked images to see what's on offer.

At this stage, it looks like some serious real estate will be required if you want to add these "amusing" attractions to your city.

One theory is that Maxis envisages fans creating an entirely new city dedicated to super-happy-fun-times, employing workers from other towns and providing tourist attractions.

Details are obviously due our way in a little over a week, but one thing we do know right now is that this new SimCity DLC will set you back US$9.99 when it launches.
