Persona 4 Arena finally hits the rest of the world

It's not unusual for Japanese games to experience delays before arriving in the West, but Persona 4 Arena hit U.S. shelves nearly a year ago and is only now popping up in Europe and other territories.

If you've forgotten about just what goes on in this brand new instalment, let Natalie fill you in, describing it as a bit of a change from the JRPG fare we've come to expect from the franchise.

Grab your control stick, dust off your controllers, Persona 4 Arena is worth a bit of exploration:

Set after the events of Persona 4 and focusing on the sinister tournament the ‘P1 Grand Prix’ – Yu and the Investigation Team must enter the Midnight Channel to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of his friends, Rise and Kanji.

Meanwhile, Teddie seems to be acting very strangely, and a brand new character, the mysterious Labrys, has appeared. How are these events linked? And why is the Midnight Channel back on air?

  • 12 individual story paths, as players experience a new chapter from multiple perspectives.
  • The introduction of brand new character, Labrys.
