LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes arrives on iOS

LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes launches today for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, putting the fate of Gotham City - and the world - in the palm of your hand. It's a spin-off from the super-popular LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes which hit consoles mid-last year, bringing the action-adventure gameplay to a new, touchscreen platform.

The new game's been handled by traditional developer TT Games, with Managing Director Tom Stone observing:

TT Games once again brings the award-winning LEGO Batman action to gamers on the go. We’re excited to extend the fun, family-friendly adventure to the iOS.

We're promised Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and "scores of others", facing off against The Joker and Lex Luthor. There are 80 usable characters in-game to unlock, which is a matter of exploring levels and defeating enemies. (Alternatively, if your time is worth more than your money, you can fork over real-world cash through in-app purchases and gain instant access to your favourite characters.)

If you're a little concerned about having to learn a new control scheme, rest assured - there are two available in the game, Touch Screen and Classic, so you'll be able to find the one that suits you best as you dash around Gotham city, defeating foes, solving puzzles and using your amazing super powers.

LEGO Batman: DC Super Heroes is out right now in the iTunes App Store, and is the fourth LEGO game released for iOS - its predecessors have seen nearly four million downloads to date.
