Do the milkshake the milkshake do the shake
Today is a good day for getting things that you've been waiting for. Yet another example: Draw Something 2. The sequel to the ridiculously popular scribble-guessin' game has emerged from its sketchy cocoon, and is out right now on the iTunes App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Travis Boatman, senior vice president of mobile at Zynga explains:
Draw Something 2 is a new kind of experience that blurs the line between games and social apps, yet it builds on the magic that made the original one of the most popular mobile game franchises in the world. Draw Something 2 gives people a creative way to connect with friends by drawing, sharing and checking out the feed. We couldn’t be more proud of the New York mobile team that crafted the game.
While, essentially, the game remains the same, Draw Something 2 hass been tweaked and updated to introduce new textures, colours and patterns to your masterpiece. The feed that Boatman refers to is a new ability to follow friends and celebrities, but also to discover new artists. You can comment on the ones you like, or watch instant replays to see just how they were created.
If you're sick of drawing exactly what the game asks you to, Draw Something 2 could be for you: A new "Free Draw" mode means you can sketch and doodle to your heart's content, and then share that with your adoring fans.
Draw Something 2 is available in two formats - an ad-supported free version, or a paid edition for US$2.99.
(...sorry if you're hanging out for the Android equivalent - there's been no word from Zynga on that one.)
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
