Think E3 is easy?
Watch here on E3 week and see how much exercise I do.
Brace yourselves: Multiplayer DLC for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is coming tomorrow. While we've been hearing about this project for a very long time, with all eyes focussing on the Xbox 360 version, the light at the end of the tunnel seems to have arrived via the PS3 instead.
Guillaume Gad, producer on the game, explains via the PlayStation blog that the game had always intended to be "vs The World":
Sure, our side-scrolling beat-em-up based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s award-winning graphic novels let’s you play as everyone’s favorite lovable loser: the titular Mr. Pilgrim. And yes, you could team up with your pals for some couch co-op, playing as one of Scott’s kooky cohorts in this charmingly 8-bit retro-gaming world (all while rocking to the chiptune sounds of ANAMANAGUCHI). But what about online multiplayer?
...it just happens that we had to wait nearly three years for the update to actually occur.
Starting tomorrow, via the PlayStation Network (potentially Xbox Live as well), you can get new player Wallace Wells (Scott's roommate), and four new trophies, as well as the long-overdue online multiplayer addition, which means - unless you want to - no more crowding on the couch.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
