The capital city of Australia is Canberra, but the largest city is Sydney. So why will PAX Australia be held in Melbourne? Good question. It's the first time the gaming expo has headed outside of the United States, and the organisers want to explain their choice. In this brand new video from - wait for it - the Victorian government, PAX show director Robert Khoo and GDAA CEO Tony Reed explain why Gabe and Tycho (and their band of merry misfits) are headed to Melbourne, rather than anywhere else.
PAX Australia will be held in Melbourne, Australia, on July 19-21. It's already shaping up to be rather huge, with Double Fine's Ron Gilbert named as opening keynote speaker, and plenty more "leading game publishers" planning their appearances.
Three-day passes have sold out completely, as have single-day tickets for Saturday. If you haven't yet organised how you're going to get to the event, hop to it! Hot cakes!
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
