Activision: Destiny is not coming in 2013

Of course, with any major unveiling, the speculations start straight away about just when the new game will land. This is the case with Destiny, and while both Bungie and Activision are remaining quiet on when it'll launch, they're not afraid to tell you when it won't: 2013.

The information was included, plainly and simply, in the Destiny announcement press release, prepared by Activision and distributed after yesterday's big reveal.

Activision reiterated that although Bungie’s amazing new world was revealed today, Activision has not included the launch in its 2013 outlook and there should be no speculation or expectation of a different result.

Sorry fellas, we know you want to get your hands on this persistent online shooter (which reportedly is not making it to PC) super-quick, but it looks like you'll just have to wait. Or maybe go into stasis, we'll wake you up when it gets here.
