Do the milkshake the milkshake do the shake
Retailers around the world have been selling out of the Wizard's Edition of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, making the game particularly difficult to find. Now, we're learning that the game's U.S. distributor, Digital River accidentally oversold the special edition, meaning that even if you can find one available for pre-order, there's no guarantee you'll actually get the gear.
We apologize for the discrepancies you may have encountered with your order of NAMCO BANDAI’s Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch - Wizard’s Edition. As one of our valued customers, we want to assure you that a Digital River representative will be reaching out to you individually via email to address your specific issue.
The issue started with an apparent error in the Digital River ordering system, meaning that more copies of the game were sold than the distributor had available. Now that the error's been spotted, Digital River is trying to make amends, with a refund and gift certificate sent to affected customers.
However, fans are quickly finding the $20 Namco Bandai gift certificate to be next-to-useless. With Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch hitting U.S. shelves earlier this week, the official online store has sold out of the regular edition of the game, and - obviously - there are no more Wizard's Editions left.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
