Think E3 is easy?
Watch here on E3 week and see how much exercise I do.
Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the wasteland, RAGE is back with some all-new DLC. The Scorchers is a brand-spankin' new add-on for the game, and it's set to arrive next week for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Whether it hits just before or just after Christmas is unclear, but it might well be something fun to play with once the novelty of the presents wears off.
In this brand-new adventure spanning six all-new areas, you will fight alongside new allies to defend the Hager Settlment from a maniacal bandit clan known as The Scorchers. Along the way, you’ll participate in a new season of Mutant Bash TV, encounter new mini-games, and wield the overpowering and brutal Nailgun.
As well as all that, you'll get a brand new difficulty mode (the eloquently-titled "Ultra Nightmare"), plus a new "Extended Play" option, which lets you play RAGE past the original ending of the game - perfect if you want to run around and collect those last few items and achievements.
The DLC pack was first hinted at back in June, when the Scorchers were revealed as an entirely new clan of bandits that never made it past the cutting room floor. Back then, it was rated as being suitable for European audiences 18 years and older, citing both "Extreme violence" and "Strong language". You have been warned.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
