If someone asked you to guess the first faction to be included in Total War: Rome II, chances are that you'd guess the Romans. And you'd be right! Other factions will be revealed in the coming weeks and months in the leadup to the game's release some time next year.
The distinctions between cultures aren’t simply cosmetic; each offers a fundamentally different style of play.
The news comes to us via the new Total War Wiki, designed to provide a little sneaky insight into the factions that will be battling it out in the game.
Right now, you can take a look at the map of the Roman starting position, as well as browse through details about its civic, military and political strengths. The brand new Total War: Rome II Faction Hub really does have all of the information you need to know (and some you don't), bringing an extra richness, depth and variety to the game.
And, as the game's still a little way off, you can expect plenty more where that came from. By the time Total War: Rome II launches, you'll be quite the expert in one particular fictional era of history.
