The Cave opens up with first-look character trailer

This time last year, we got a sneaky peek at a new game that Ron Gilbert was working on with Double Fine. Since then, we've heard a little more about the game - now known as The Cave, but today we get our first real, moving-picture look at a few of the game's seven playable characters.

That's our formal introduction to the Hillbilly, the Monk, the Scientist and the Twins - details on the Knight and the Time Traveler are coming later, we assume.

Stay tuned, a Double Fine release, published by Sega, The Cave is due out digitally for both PC and console in January 2013.
