Valve releases Dota2 International 2 Documentary

The International is where the best of the best in Dota 2 show off their skills for a million dollar prize. Held annually, this year's competition was more intense with the 16 international teams having more time to train and prepare. Valve has put together a round up video with some behind-the-scenes interviews and sessions from the teams, as well as a recap of the event. This is a must watch for Dota fans and anyone who enjoys eSports.

The documentary is only just over 20 minutes long. Personally I would have liked it to be longer, but it is a nice round up of this year and a great look at the personalities behind the professional league.

The documentary features some great interviews with the captains from many teams involved, including insight from previous year's winners Na'Vi captain Puppey discussing who they wanted to face and who they thought would be the biggest challenges to their title. ChuaN from iG, FLUFFNSTUFF from Complexity, syndereN from MTW and xiao8 from LGD also popped in to give their impression on the event and what they hope to achieve. Sadly the Aussies from Absolute Legends missed out. They have since parted ways with the organisation and gone back to their original team name Natural 9.

I think the best part of the video is the passion the teams have, even on stage in the middle of the game. Dendi (oppa!) from Na'Vi shows he is just as crazy in real life as in game, especially when his play turned the tides of their second game against iG in the semifinals. This is a great insight into the eSports world and I can't wait to see more.
