[EB12] Video: PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony is throwing the full weight of its marketing department behind PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - and rightly so. The upcoming brawler showcases some of the greatest characters ever to appear on the PlayStation platforms over the years, all thrown together into some amazing sets, locations and battle arenas.

While on the surface, it sounds like something that will appeal to PlayStation fans and people who like video games in general and want to see a few familiar faces, PlayStation All-Stars actually has a fairly decent fighting pedigree behind it. The game's director, Omar Kendall, has worked on both the UFC series and the Backyard Wrestling franchise, and has been working on the game with the team at SuperBot Entertainment since 2009. With the game only officially announced earlier this year, there's still a lot we don't know about the game, so we caught up with Omar in Australia recently, to try and find out a bit more.

PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale hits the PlayStation 3 in Japan this week, on November 8th. The rest of the world has to wait a little while longer, with the western release starting in North America on November 20th, and filtering through Europe, Australia/New Zealand and the UK by the end of the week.
