Think E3 is easy?
Watch here on E3 week and see how much exercise I do.
We are suckers for a good bit of viral marketing, even when it's something so transparently created just to cause a fuss. Last week we saw The Reload, and now, Sony has presented us with The Arrival, a 24-second clip in the same sort of vein. The woman from the last video is back, with a typewriter, and a jeep has just pulled up outside.
Just like last time, (and arguably the time before), the clip is packed with little snippets and hints and references to Sony games. Fans claim to have spotted concepts from Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, DMC, Metal Gear Solid, and inFamous.
Predictably, there are theories that this means it is pointing to an all new console announcement, with these mostly being shot down by people who believe it will be something to do with the PlayStation Store, or perhaps just a little extra hype for PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale.
Just a day or so left to go now - all the news is set to drop on Tuesday, October 23rd, so stay tuned. It's worth noting that the new PlayStation Store was scheduled to go live on the same date, before hitting an unexpected delay. Hmmmm.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
