Mark your calendars, folks: Injustice: Gods Among Us, the DC Comics fighting game from Mortal Kombat creators NetherRealm Studios has set a date - you'll be able to snag the game on PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U in April next year.
The news was revealed today at Tokyo Game Show, which also featured this lovely new trailer.
We first had a chance to check out a very, very early glimpse of Injustice while at E3 this year, and chatted to NetherRealm's John Edwards about the perks and pitfalls of working with a licensed product like the DC Comics gang. The major difference: No fatalities!
We're still hanging out for more information, which is slowly filtering through, but what little snippets we've heard are, so far, kind of amazing. Aussies will get a special insight into Injustice at October's EB Games Expo, where NetherRealm co-founder Ed Boon will be demonstrating the game and talking about what's been going on behind the scenes.
If you've ever wanted to see who'd win between Batman and Superman, Wonder Woman and the Flash, Harley Quinn and Nightwing, now's your chance. The lines between good and evil blur in Injustice, and now we know just how long we'll have to wait.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
