We weren't expecting it until next week, but now I Am Alive is out for PC gamers to enjoy on their home platform. How do we know? We have a swanky launch trailer to show it all off.
Ubisoft has offered no reason for bringing the game forward, but we're not going to argue. Given that this game was never ever meant to arrive on PC (with developers complaining about "bitching" fans), we're happy with what we've got. And, for that matter, it's a nicely PC-enhanced version, complete with extra gameplay modes, rather than being a simple console port.
Plus, with today's update regarding always-on DRM, it's possible that I Am Alive is the start of a fresh new approach from the French publisher. Wouldn't that be nice?
