Falcatron: The first Aussie fan-created Transformer

There's a new Transformers character on the block - the first ever giant robot created by fans. Working together with Activision and Ford, more than 1,000 Australian Facebook users have shared their ideas, images and concepts, literally transforming the iconic Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo sedan into a new character to stand alongside Optimus Prime.

Fans were faced with the difficult decisions: Autobot or Decepticon? XR6 or G6E? Green and Gold, or classic Ford Blue? Given potentially thousands of character variations, fans voted for the elements they deemed "most worthy" of an Australian Ford Transformers character.

The end result is an Autobot Falcon XR6 Turbo Sedan, proudly tinted Ford Blue.

The concept of Falcatron was sent off to Transformers: Fall of Cybertron developers High Moon Studios, where the art team (lead by Jim Daly) produced this stunning piece of artwork for the new character, named Falcatron.
