Think E3 is easy?
Watch here on E3 week and see how much exercise I do.
Just when you thought Aussies missed out on all the fun stuff, EA has announced the First Play Game Tour, giving gamers Down Under the chance to get their hands on some of the publisher's most anticipated games before they hit the Aussie shelves.
Described as a "unique experience", First Play will take in five key shopping centres around Australia, stopping at each one for four days. Each event will feature a major launch party, celebrity appearances, merch giveaways and gaming tournaments.
...want to know what's in store? How about FIFA 13, Dead Space 3, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Crysis 3 and Need for Speed Most Wanted, for starters?
Simon Smith-Wright, Regional Marketing Director at EA explains:
EA has an incredibly strong line-up of games this year. The First Play Game Tour is a great opportunity to bring these games to our fans before their release. This is the first time EA has had the chance to put on a public event of this magnitude in Australia. We're excited to meet our players around the country and to give them the opportunity to be the first to play the best of EA.
So where can you get your hands on this stuff? Here's the dates to mark in your calendar!
VICTORIA
NEW SOUTH WALES
QUEENSLAND
If you're not in Victoria, New South Wales or Queensland - or if you're in the right state but outside those handful of locations - you're going to miss out on this round. However - we've spoken to EA and are reassured that this is just the start of something big. If enough people support the 2012 tour (and you all will, right?), then we can expect EA's First Play Game Tour to take in even more locations in the future.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
