Square Enix and United Front Games have taken an interesting approach when it comes to presenting the system specifications for Sleeping Dogs. Rather than a dull, dry table of facts and figures, community manager Kyle Stallac has instead contributed to this video which tells you everything you need to know, throws in a little spice with some PC-specific features, and tops it all off with some very tasty gameplay.
Set to launch day and date alongside the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, Sleeping Dogs for Windows PC is something a little bit special. The game is packed with advanced graphical features, as well as enhancements, hardware optimisations and support for both AMD and NVIDIA chipsets.
So - to elaborate on what Kyle said:
The high-resolution texture pack brings "eye-watering detail" to Sleeping Dogs, meaning that everything - from the towering skyscrapers to the crumbling temples - is crisp and clear. If you're running a high resolution on your desktop, you'll get increased small object detail, meaning that the game's sense of scale is magnified - tiny in-world objects are rendered from much further away.
There's full key mapping for the perfectionists, and optimisations for both 3D and multi-monitors. Whether you're playing on a dual- or quad-core machine, using NVIDIA SLI or AMD Crossfire, keyboard + mouse or a controller, Sleeping Dogs will look pretty slick.
