We've still got a few weeks before Transformers: Fall of Cybertron hits shelves for both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but Activision and High Moon Studios have teamed up to give you a little downloadable sneak peek: A brand new downloadable demo, available right now!
Rather than limiting your pre-purchase experience to simply multiplayer or story mode, the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron demo comes with a taste of both! Check out the first mission as Bumblebee, battling to save the Autobot starship (which is under attack from Megatron, of course). Perhaps you'd prefer to take on an assault mission, in control of Vortex, switching from jet-to-chopper-to-robot as the mood strikes (be careful though, there's a number of firefights raging around behind and beneath you!).
There's also a nifty Transformers character customiser, so you can make up your perfect 'bot - and once you've got it just the way you like it, head into Conquest or Team Deathmatch online multiplayer.
In a clever move, High Moon Studios will monitor the multiplayer experience and listen to your feedback, just in case any elements need to be balanced or tweaked in the leadup to the game's launch. Any thoughts, comments or questions should be directed to @FallofCybertron on Twitter.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron is headed to all good retailers from August 22nd, and the demo is available right now for download!
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
