Welcome to Player Attack!
Last week, we learned that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor would be lending his creative skills to the score behind Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Now, we've got a brand new behind-the-scenes video showing Reznor, writer David S. Goyer (co-writer of The Dark Knight Rises and both Mark Lamia and Dave Anthony from Treyarch, chatting about the relationships between games, movies and music.
Expect insights into how the creative Call of Duty process works, and a snippet or two of the tunes Reznor's been creating for the game.
Reznor himself (possibly better known these days for his Academy Award-winning soundtrack for The Social Network than his work with 90s industrial rock outfit Nine Inch Nails) has been a fan of video games for many years, both as a gamer and as a musician. Reznor famously contributed to the cult favourite soundtrack for Quake in 1996, published directly onto the game disc so the CD-ROM could be played in most stereos.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
