Welcome to Player Attack!
Assassin's Creed III is getting the novelisation treatment, with Ubisoft confirming that Oliver Bowden is picking up the pen for Assassin's Creed Forsaken, the story behind new hero Connor - who is he really?
That's the game, anyway. Forsaken provides a little bit more back-story. Connor has found his way to the battlefields, swearing to secure liberty for his nation and his people. The book is the latest spin off from Ubisoft's award-winning franchise, which has already spawned comic books, short films, additional novels and even a Hollywood film.
It's also not the first time Oliver Bowden has been behind the Assassin's adventures: Bowden (a pseudonym for British author Anton Gill) has also written Assassin's Creed: Renaissance, Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade and the tie-in novels for both Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin's Creed: Revelations.
Forsaken is due out a couple of months after Assassin's Creed III hits shelves for consoles, so most gamers will play the game fine without turning a page. We're not suggesting you wait, but if you want to know more about who Connor really is, you'd be well advised to pick this one up. Assassin's Creed Forsaken is due out on December 4th for US$9.99 RRP.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
