Act of Valor directors sign up for Hawken film

Adhesive Games has just confirmed that the upcoming feature film adaptation of Hawken will feature the work of the Bandito Brothers - directors of Act of Valor.

Scott Waugh, one of the Bandito Brothers, makes the lofty claim:

Hawken is the next Star Wars.

The Hawken film has been in the works nearly as long as the game itself, with a storyline that follows two young pilots from opposing clans, who must work together to research the origins and purpose of a strange, devastating nano-virus which is covering the surface of the planet in toxic crystals. Did we mention they have to do this before their respective clans wipe each other out?

No dates, writers or actors have been attached to the project just yet, but with names like Scott Waugh now involved, we shouldn't be waiting too long.
