In a flurry of puns, Square Enix has made gamers very happy with the news that Final Fantasy VII will be returning to PC, and it's bringing a bunch of new features along with it. The inevitable achievements have been thrown in, a new character booster gives you the opportunity to increase your character's MP, HP and gold, and - wait for it - the developers have added cloud support.
...yes, cloud support.
And while the headline itself is pretty good news, it's not the re-make we've been hoping for, and details on the game are still pretty slim. But Square Enix is promising new details are coming our way real soon (in the next week or so), and promises that the game itself won't be too far away.
We do, however, have the System Requirements for Final Fantasy VII on PC, which is handy:
Final Fantasy VII PC System Requirements
Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/7 (32/64-bit)
2GHz Processor or faster
1GB RAM
DirectX 9-compatible graphic card
...the game itself will be released exclusively as a Windows PC download through the Square Enix store, and we've already been warned there may be microtransactions involved.
