One of the highlights of EA's social gaming calendar is Outernauts, an all-new Facebook game headed our way from independent studio Insomniac Games. Yes, the Insomniac who brought us Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Overstrike and the massive Resistance trilogy, now turning its attention to social gaming.
Don't let appearances fool you - Outernauts is a deep, challenging project packed with immersive storytelling, and a stunning unique art style, not to mention the sense of wit which sets it apart from many other bland social titles. It's an adventure RPG which explores the galaxy, as you harvest loot, collect pets and battle it out with pirates and evil corporations - and I'll let Rowan Belden-Clifford explain more, direct from the EA booth at E3 2012.
We'll be keeping an eye out on this one, keeping our feelers out for closed beta keys and invitations for Outernauts, and as soon as we find some, we'll let you know. Otherwise, we'll just be sitting here, twiddling our collective thumbs and staring wistfully at Facebook, waiting for the opportunity to explore a new galaxy.
I like video games and music and cups of tea and noodles and beagles and colour-cycling LEDs.
