12 months after its official release, Portal 2 is getting a birthday present! Valve has today revealed plans for the Perpetual Testing Initiative DLC, to be released for Mac and PC on May 8th.
Sound intriguing? It gets better. The Perpetual Testing Initiative is a level editor for the best-selling puzzler, allowing gamers to create, share and play their own Portal 2 creations.
The Initiative can even be used from within the game, thanks to the simple puzzle maker which can be used to form mind-bending brain-twisters.
Once created, you'll be able to publish your maps directly to the Steam Workshop so that other people can check 'em out - by browsing, playing, and voting for their favourites. "Selected puzzles" will even be automatically downloaded and installed inside the game, too - giving gamers a taste of what else is out there.
