The Witcher is coming! Specifically, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition is officially on its way, as CD Projekt RED confirms the game has gone gold on the Xbox 360, on schedule for its glorious arrival on shelves on April 17th.
Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President at publishers NAMCO BANDAI Partners S.A.S. gushes:
We are very pleased that The Witcher 2: Assassins Of Kings Enhanced Edition for Xbox 360 is in our spring portfolio. The game is truly a masterpiece and we are excited to bring the complex and non-linear story of Geralt of Rivia to console players.
The game itself - more than 40 hours of non-linear gameplay - is considered an "adaptation" of the formerly PC-only fantasy RPG. Every choice you make has the potential to come back and bite you later - and the game's storyline will unfold at your fingertips.
The Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 features never-before-seen content, and the Enhanced Edition brings with it a world map, a soundtrack audio CD and a quest handbook if you get in quick for the Limited Day 1 Edition.
With just over two weeks left to wait, you can pre-order The Witcher 2 at your preferred local gaming emporium, or online via the game's official website. Of course, you don't have to pick it up on console - the PC version is still available and still a great game.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
