Think E3 is easy?
Watch here on E3 week and see how much exercise I do.
We haven't heard much from The Endless Forest for a while now, with Tale of Tales focussing instead on more recent games The Graveyard and The Path, but the Belgian developer still has a soft spot for the dreamy, free-to-play MMO.
The experience (not quite a game, as such), has been online for seven years, since being commissioned by the Musée back in 2003. Now though, the funding has been phased out, meaning that Tale of Tales must decide what to do with the project. It costs €165 each month to run the game - an amount which adds up over time to exceed the budget of the tiny indie developer.
Skirting around the "free to play" label, Tale of Tales is now asking the game's dedicated fanbase for a "small, voluntary monthly donation" - as little as €1 - in order to keep things going.
If you're not sure what all the fuss is about, head to The Endless Forest official website and check it out for yourself - surely it's worth the price of a cup of coffee?
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
