G.A.N.G. is the Game Audio Network Guild, a non-profit organisation dedicated to those people who make video games sound great, rather than just looking spectacular. Each year, the Guild holds a gala awards ceremony in San Francisco alongside GDC (with standing-room only crowds), and we've got the winners from the 10th annual celebration right here.
Video Games Live founder, renowned composer and sound designer Tommy Tallarico was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his major contributions to the game audio community, plus his 22-year history in the industry.
G.A.N.G. President Paul Lipson explains:
He has literally helped hundreds of people get into the video game industry and realize their dreams. There has never been a more deserving person for this award. His work and his life embody everything that G.A.N.G. is about.
