The Witcher 2 for Xbox 360 is beautiful, due April

After a handful of delays, legal battles and other fun stuff, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings is finally set to hit Xbox 360 consoles starting April 17th, and developer CD Projekt RED has marked the occasion with a particularly amazing trailer.

Originally launched on PC in May last year, CD Projekt intended to releaes the console version not-so-long afterward, with an anticipated date of late 2011. However, a bunch of things conspired against the developer - including a legal battle over publishing rights (eventually won by Namco, by the way) - and the game was put on the backburner.

Now though, it's back, set to arrive on Microsoft's console along with re-worked controls, 3+ hours of bonus campaign content, additional in-game movies and a few other bits and pieces thrown in (like, oh, three new characters).

...if you're a PC fan, don't get too disheartened about all the cool stuff being given to the console gamers: All of the new additions will be available for The Witcher 2 on PC, published in the near future as DLC packs.
