Chris Metzen has confirmed at BlizzCon 2011 that the adorable, fuzzy stars of the new WoW expansion Mists of Pandaria will be multi-faction, at least at the beginning of their games.
The Pandaren will start in a central location and plod their way through an initial series of quests - by the time that those are finished, it's anticipated that gamers will have an idea of which faction - Alliance or Horde - they'd most like to side with.
Then it's a simple matter of making one decision, picking either Red or Blue (seriously), and off you go. It's the first time Blizzard has tried anything like this, so the developers are possibly even more excited about this than the gamers.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
