As screenshots for Dota 2 are being leaked all over the place, it seems that Valve has decided to get in on the action, celebrating 900 Twitter followers with a brand new, confirmed in-game screenshot of the Doom Bringer.
The developers have kept this one tightly under wraps, but it seems that - just a few days before the game's big reveal - a Chinese fansite has gotten its paws on a handful of sneaky images, which it's promptly published for the world to gawk at.
Of course, Valve is remaining tight-lipped as ever the topic, but we're hearing rumours that the images are from an early Dota 2 build and, of course, not necessarily representative of the finished product. Grain of salt, as always, until we see anything official.
I'm sure I'm not the only one, but looking at these screenshots, I was overwhelmed with the sense that I was looking at a new game from Blizzard. Given the pedigree behind Dota 2, a sequel to a Warcraft 3 mod, this isn't too surprising. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and with the amazing success we've seen enjoyed by the original, the Dota formula certainly ain't broke.
