Do the milkshake the milkshake do the shake
If you live in the land Down Under, listen up. Blizzard have just announced their official StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty launch event - and it's going to be in Brisbane.
Announced in partnership with EB Games, the festivities will be held at King George Square, opposite the Albert Street store in the heart of Brisbane - and of course, this all happens on the evening of Monday, July 26th.
It's a midnight launch - but the evening's entertainment kicks off at 9:30pm, with a whole bunch of cool stuff planned:
StarCraft Trivia contest: Test your knowledge of the StarCraft universe
StarCraft Sound-a-like contest: Give your best StarCraft unit impressions - is your Battlecruiser operational?
Live Developer Q&A with StarCraft II Producer Kaeo Milker
StarCraft Cosplay contest: Come dressed as your favourite StarCraft characters
...but that's not all - you're advised to "come prepared" - as Blizzard and partners have arranged for thousands of dollars worth of stuff to hand out as prizes on the night (including gear from SteelSeries, Razer, AMD and the inevitable official Blizzard merch).
Of course, from 12:01am on July 27th, dedicated StarCraft fans will be able to pick up their prized copy of the game and scurry home to get amongst the long-awaited sequel.
If you can't get to Brisbane, never fear! There will also be additional launch events held at EB Games outlets across Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, with assorted local stores opening at midnight just for the funs of it.
I like video games, fishing, Depeche Mode, long walks on the beach, writing discussion papers and cups of tea. Not necessarily in that order.
