Teen faces murder charge after fatal game argument

Laurel County resident Travis Hammack has been indicted for murder by a grand jury. According to police reports, the 15 year-old Kentuckian shot his cousin, Craig Hammack, after an argument over an unnamed video game.

In addition to the murder charge, Hammock faces a charge over tampering with evidence. He will be tried as an adult.

The victim's mother, who had originally stated that the boys were best friends and the shooting was an accident, has changed her tune. According to WKYT News, Margaret Hammack stated that once she got over the shock of her son's death, she no longer felt that the shooting was accidental and would like to see the killer face at least 25 years in prison.

The first hearing is scheduled for August. Travis Hammack is currently held on a $US200,000 bond.
